Dr Francesca Pantanali

Graduating from the Catholic University of Rome in Italy, Dr Francesca Pantanali attained joined honours in medicine and dentistry. After working in various hospitals and private practices, Dr Pantanali qualified in 2000 as a Specialist Orthodontist.

She completed her PhD in Orthodontics in 2007, having worked with complex multidisciplinary cases, as well as patients with dento-facial deformities.

She has a love of teaching orthodontics at a postgraduate level, and worked as Professor Adjunct and Clinical Teacher at Catholic University in Rome, teaching Orthodontics.

She moved with her family in 2010 to London and works as a Consultant Orthodontist in a specialist private practice with the East Sussex NHS Trust. This is the highest level of expertise for an orthodontist in the UK. She has an advanced level of knowledge and expertise in orthodontics, which allows her to provide a variety of treatments. These go from simple alignments to challenging multidisciplinary cases, requiring advanced alignment or even jaw (maxilla-facial) surgery.

Dr Pantanali also has wide experience with more discreet orthodontic techniques, including the clear aligner Invisalign service and lingual braces that are placed behind the teeth, providing these treatment to her patients on a regular basis.

Outside of orthodontics, Francesca has worked with Operation Smile, an international medical service non-profit organization, which provide free surgeries to repair cleft lip and cleft palate issues for children across the world.

She has membership of the British Orthodontic Society and the Italian Orthodontics Society.

In her free time, Francesca enjoys yoga, life in London, sailing across the Mediterranean and skiing.
