Specialist orthodontist Dr Brian Dunne completed his studies at Trinity College, Dublin, where he received numerous awards.
He graduated with honours and was awarded the college's prestigious gold medal in recognition of academic and clinical excellence. He was also made a university scholar and is one of only a handful of dentists to achieve this trio of accolades.
Following graduation, Brian worked across a range of hospital specialities in private and NHS practice, where he gained extensive experience in maxillofacial surgery and children’s dentistry.
During this time, Brian gained his diploma in primary care dentistry and earned membership of the Faculty of Dentistry with the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland.
He then completed specialist training at Royal London Hospital, where he was made a member in orthodontics of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He also completed a doctorate in clinical dentistry at the Queen Mary University of London, where he was awarded the prestigious David DiBiase prize in recognition of outstanding treatment.
Brian is a prolific speaker and lecturer on orthodontics, whose presentation at the UK Cranofacial Conference 2018 earned an award. He has also sat on the editorial board of the Journal of the Irish Dental Association.
Outside the clinic, Brian is a fitness fanatic who loves to travel and play golf.
